Girls' Whirlwind Weekend...

Kaylie and I had a GREAT time in Florida, but we're SO glad to be home. The weather was warm and humid, but not too warm or too humid...just more than we're used to now that we've acclimated to the wonderfully temperate NW.

Saturday was my cousin's wedding. The ceremony was held lakeside and the weather was perfect. The bride was beautiful...as always. We enjoyed visiting with family, Kaylie had a blast dancing with her cousins and I enjoyed the opportunity to "catch up" with
family.

Sunday was Disney. We had a great time, the park wasn't very busy which is always nice, especially when you've only got one day there. Kaylie (being honorary birthday girl for the day) led the way...first was Thunder Mountain and then Splash Mountain. We all made funny faces on the way down the water fall...the pic turned out great. We made our way across the park, one ride at a time.

It was the first time that Kaylie was tall enough to ride Space Mountain...and she was a riot. She was in the very first car and shouted for joy the entire ride. My mom was concerned with how she was doing at the end of the ride, so I asked her "hey Kaylie, you ready to go again?" and she shouted "Yessssssss! That was AWESOME!!!" My little thrill seeker. After Disney we took Michaella for her "early birthday" dinner at Carrabba's. YUMMY!

Sunday night we drove down to Naples to see my Grandmother. We had a wonderful visit with her on Monday. Family that didn't make it to the wedding came over to visit with us at Grandma's. It was so good to see everyone. Michaella was especially thrilled to play with Grandpa and Grandma's dogs, Moxie and Danny. Oh, and thanks Uncle Rob for the "Crazy Frog" cd you sent Kaylie home with...I owe you one! *grin*

Around noon, we were headed up to Fort Myers to have lunch with friends at my favorite Mexican restaurant "Iguana Mia". YUM! I thought about driving by our old house on our way there, but couldn't bring myself to do it. It was our first house, and we built it (not ourselves...we had pro's do it...grin) but it would have been too weird to see someone else living there. And if they changed it...I would have been upset. Weird...I know.

After our bellies were full, my dad and brother drove us back up to Tampa for our flight home...which turned out to be a very loooong flight. I think we spent just as much time sitting on the tarmac waiting for a gate as we did in the air. We got in about 3am. It's good to be home!

Thanks to family and friends who took time out of their busy schedules and/or time off work to visit with us. We love you all and miss you already!
