A Fairy Happy Birthday...

Edited to add new pix...courtesy of Tamsters. :)

This cake is for my friend's daughter, Sage.
She loves fairies!!

Kuddos to Stacey for another moist and delicious spice cake and for experimenting with the different sizes and bowls I needed for this. The cakes are layered with buttercream icing and have a coat of royal icing. Everything you see is fondant except for the green vines and the center of the flowers, those were made with buttercream frosting.

The fairy was inspired by one of the fairies from my Faeriesence Collection. She's sitting on a pink flower holding a small flower in her hands. The end result really looks nothing like the figurine, but a sculptor I am not...so this was as good as it was going to get.

Happy 10th Birthday, Sage!!
Hope you have a wonderful day!!
