Funny Conversation...

So...I was driving Lucas and his buddy, Lake, to choir practice tonight. I had the radio on, but was occasionally eavesdropping on their increasingly amusing conversation.

After a rabbit trail of chattiness, they were talking about choir and Lucas said that he had made several friends there so far. After a moment of thought, he retracted his statement by adding, "Well, I wouldn't say friends...they're more like acquaintances." To which Lake added, "Yeah, that makes sense. They're not people you have over your house or share your thoughts with, but you enjoy talking with them when you get the chance." Lucas then added, "I know what you mean, I have a lot of acquaintances, but only a couple of friends" of which, he included Lake and Lake's brother, Wyatt. I found that ironic, for a boy whose never met a person he doesn't like.

It was a cute conversation...so grown up for two young boys, and it warmed my heart. Both Jeremiah and Michaella made fast friends upon moving here, while Lucas has struggled to find that one buddy with the same interests and sense of humor. We have prayed for Lucas to find someone he could call a friend...and our prayers have been answered. It's such a joy to see him with his buddies and listen to them chat.

Too sweet! Lucas, I know what a joy you are to your parents, and I understand why! You have an incredible heart that so obviously belongs to Jesus. I'm glad God has given you good friends here.

Mis, your little guy just warms my heart :) And I know of a little 6 yr. old girl who just adores him!
