This may be random, but it's really bugging me...
Why is it that people type ect instead of etc as an abbreviation for et cetera? It seems like every time I turn around, I see it...in emails, on blogs, I think I've even seen it in a newspaper one time. So..I'm not even talking about grammatically challenged people...I'm talking about intelligent people, several of whom are writers.
Am I missing something??

Your being anal or anil or anail ect etc etc
There are so many grammatical things that bug me too. Like using prepositions to end a phrase, or asking "can" instead of "will" when you want permission, etc.
