I don't consider myself a stupidstitious, uhh...I mean, superstitious person...unless, of course, we're talking baseball. You see, if I have learned anything in my 33 years of being a Red Sox fan (yes, I've been a fan since birth...that's the way it is with Sox fans...you're just born into it.) anyway, as I was saying...if I've learned anything in all my years as a Sox fan, I've learned that you NEVER say a word about whether you will win or lose until the game is over. We have a knack for leading a game and then losing in the bottom of the 9th...it's a gift...or a curse...depending on how you look at it.
This was a great series. Beckett was phenomenal and Schilling, reliable as always. Manny and Big Papi had their bats swinging...we scored a total of 19 runs, 5 of those were home runs...the most memorable of those being Manny's walk off homer in Game 2. Here's a picture of his crossing home plate...LOVE IT!

And Ortiz has a batting average of .714 for this post season so far. They played hard...they played well. I love these boys!!!

Looking forward to Friday...I'm optimistic, but realistic. You never know how these games will play out...and while I'm hoping for a win, I'm just excited to be along for the ride.

Darling, obviously you inherited a 'more obsessive' gene. Of my 54 yrs in the Red Sox Nation, they are 1 in 53 when it comes to World Series wins.
This is when patience is definitely a virtue!
You crack us up! We love you!
