ALOHA!!

A Hawaiian Holiday in November...

A friend's daughter wanted Hawaiian cupcakes for her 6th birthday party, so this is what I came up with...
  • Grassy cupcakes w/Tiki Torches - I printed out pictures of a tiki face and attached it to each candle to make a tiki torch.
  • Hawaiian flowers - Bright pink w/white and bright blue w/yellow.
  • Sandy beach cupcakes - I used cinnamon and sugar with white icing for the "sand" and made flip flops out of fondant, then inserted drink umbrellas.
  • Surfing the Waves - I used bright blue and white frosting to make waves and made surfboards out of fondant.
My next project is for Michaella, who turns 9 on Saturday. She is having a horseback riding party and sleepover, so I have something special planned for her. She asked me to surprise her...so I'll be working on it "after hours". Can't wait to see the look on her face!! :)
