We've Been Forked!!

Joe called me this morning to ask me if I had any idea why there were plastic forks (about 50 of them) stuck in our front yard. He noticed them as he was pulling away from the house on his way to work. It's the most bizarre thing...like a little plastic graveyard.

Unsure of how they got there...Joe asked me if it was some kind of homeschool thing. Like us homeschool moms have the time or the budget to go to the store, buy a bunch of expensive little plastic forks, get up early and stick 'em in someon
e's front yard! "Hey kids, this morning I'm going to teach you how to break the law!" Ummm...don't think so. Then I suggested that it might be a junior high youth group thing...which we both agreed was more feasible, but then again, Why?

So, now we're trying to solve "The Case of the Festering Front Yard Forks". If you have any information that could help us out,...fork it over! Otherwise, we'll just be eaten alive with curiosity. Hey, are forks in the grass anything like a fork in the road? Or maybe it was raining pitchforks? Growing weary of my fork cliches? Then stick a fork in me, 'cause I'm done!

(Edited to add photo per hubby's request.)

And, also to say that I "googled" it and discovered that the right way to fork someone's lawn is to do it tines up. I have to say...that would have been
much funnier. Sigh...nothing worse than a lazy pranker!!

I've done some forking of my own, in the earlier days of my youth! We always stuck the forks with the pointy sides up and then stuck paper plates onto the forks. It made a much better presentation with the plates :) It's pretty much the equivalent of toilet papering someone's trees. So enjoy it! Have you heard of saran wrapping someone's house? that's a good one too :)

Mystery solved...I have recently discovered that being forked is a sign of affection among my bunko buddies. (That sounded kind of dirty, didn't it?)

Anyway, hugs to Sherri, Margaret and Sonya for sending (or should I say - sticking) the love this way! You gals are awesome!
