2006 Holiday Edition of Getting to Know Your Friends...

1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Hot cocoa w/ a shot of Dr. McGillicuddy’s Mint Schnapps. Mmmm…tastes like a warm Andes Mint.

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? Santa always leaves one present unwrapped under the tree for the kids to play with because he knows Mom and Dad need time to make their coffee and wake up. Isn’t Santa thoughtful??

3. Colored lights on tree/house? Colored outside, white only inside…hubby and I have an arrangement. :)

4. Do you hang mistletoe? Of course!

5. When do you put your decorations up? We start the day after Thanksgiving…

6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)? Hmmm…I love the Christmas Ham! (w/brown sugar, pineapple and Coca-Cola glaze…YUM!)

7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child? Making salt dough ornaments with my mom.

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? My best friend’s brother told me…and so I made my Mom tell me the truth…I took it pretty hard!

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? The kids get to open one gift on Christmas Eve…but Mom and Dad get to choose which one.

10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree? White lights, ornaments, ribbon garland, candy canes…pretty traditional.

11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? Love it! Especially the first snow!

12. Can you ice skate? I’m no Dorothy Hamill, but I never go home with a wet butt.

13. Do you remember your favorite gift? Ummm...not really. I can tell you the gifts I've given better than the gifts I've received.

14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you? Celebrating the best gift ever given…Jesus!

15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert? Caramel cheesecake or apple pie a la mode.

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Our letters to Jesus…

17. What tops your tree? We’ve always had an angel, but I think we’re doing a star this year…we haven’t decided.

18. Prefer giving or receiving? Giving! Definitely giving!
